The Micro-Shear Flush Cutter with Lead Retainer 170-IIF Series features a low profile, non-slip, factory installed lead retainer to help prevent flying leads and component shorts from stray leads. This feature is excellent when working with precious metals in Jewelry
The 170-IIF Series shears offers numerous ergonomic enhancements principal among them is our effort reducing Micro-Shear cutting action. The shearing cut requires only about half the effort to cut a wire as that of other makes. Capable of flush cutting soft wire up to 18 AWG (1mm).
Shear is great for trimming through hole components, clipping soldered component leads after soldering... No more fly-away leads
