    Description

Lot eBay 100-23. I am finally Back to my desk and listing anew, after a difficult year so far of surgeries and recovery, so welcome to my new listings! I hope we have something to delight the little girl in each and every one of us! Make sure to check out all of our new listings as well as the many already listed in my eBay store. We have a wide variety of vintage jewelry, from the late 1800's to the early 2000's. This brooch is a great example of a personalized design of jewelry from 1955 to 1977-the attached "stickpins"pins may have been added to the body of the brooch to personalize the brooch to the customer's interests--this person(I want to say lady, because it is not likely it was made for a man)evidently chose a gardening theme, with the attached insects, snake, and flowers. It is decorated with small glass beads and tiny rhinestones or paste jewels. As seen in the photos, the original catch of the clasp has been replaced to a rotating safety catch, less likely to lose. The original clasp may have been broken off. These brooches were designed by Ben Gartner from 1955 to 1977 for the Goldette Jewelry Company. Intaglio cut means the design of the cameo is either molded or cut into the back side of the cameo, leaving the surface smooth. The frame of the cameo appears to be decorated with intricate wire-work and pin dots. Very nice piece. All items, upon sale, are individually wrapped, packaged securely to avoid damage during shipping, then shipped via USPS First Class mail. Insurance is included in the shipping and handling fees. We appreciate it if you pay within two days after the auctions' end, and we will ship your item within two business days of receiving payment. We do offer returns, and we want to hear from you if there is a problem with your order. We want to keep our customers happy with their orders, so we work hard to resolve any issue that arises. Happy bidding, and if you check out our other items on ebay, you may just find something else you cannot live without! In that case, you are in luck, as we offer combined shipping on all multiple purchases. The post office has just increased rates on shipping for small packages, for me, which is mostly all I ship. The rate has gone up about 50 cents per package; I try to keep my rates down and my prices low, but I am going to start charging shipping on my items again--I have cut the rates for shipping down about 50% of what I used to charge--I will now be paying for the insurance and the packaging, and my customer will pay the actual postage cost. I will still have free shipping on many items--it will depend on whether I can make any profit on the item--if I get items at a low price, I usually pass the savings on to my customers with free shipping, and my lower prices. All vintage items will sustain a normal amount of wear, due to the passage of time--even an unused item can age due to factors such as temperature, humidity, and handling. Items listed as in great to excellent vintage condition will not necessarily look like new, and unless I state that an item is in pristine or mint condition, you will expect to see some indication that an item is not new. If I can tell that a repair has been made, I will tell you in the listing.
