Description
Designed by Harry Laylon for Chase in the mid-1930s, this smart device is called the Teaball. The top part of the ball unscrews toaccommodate
tea leaves but for me it has only been a display piece. This collectible item was unmarked and numbered 90118 in the Chase Catalog. These don't come around too often and this one is in excellent condition for its age. I zoomed all the way in to capture one tiny hairline split on the rim of the stationary part of the ball that cannot be seen when the top part is in place. Otherwise, clean inside and out.
Measures 5" long and the ball section is 1 3/8 " in diameter.
