    Description

Super mint condition on this one, it was kept since new in 2013 in a
pink padded anti-static bag in the inside padded pocket of the travel
computer in my travel rig 2013-2014, then misplaced in a box of disks
here, just found it now, still in fantastic condition.
Ten years ago you could have bought a pallet of these, but they are
fairly rare now because the Chinese stopped making them when the demand
collapsed as all PC notebooks went to USB-only. This has been common
with quite a few things, even some things I use for my business, such as
various adapters, so I have bristled at having to actually design and
manufacture a few of those myself as they aren't readily available for a
buck anymore (such as 50-68 pin SCSI adapters of the correct genders to
connect a slightly newer SCSI wide HD to an older SCSI narrow system to
avoid having to pay 0 for a real 50-pin drive, costs me more for one
connector than I used to pay for the whole thing assembled).
This PCMCIA card allows you to have a DB-9 (actually, correctly it's
called DE-9 because this is the "E" size connector, but no one knows
that, so carry on with the "DB-9") serial port on an older (2000s, maybe
some 1990s also, I don't know) PC notebook computer.
I used to HAVE to have one of these with me on the road at all times,
though I only tested it every time I had a new notebook (like a Gateway
made by Samsung running XP) and only really used it twice (to run a late
1990s IC programmer upgraded in hardware in the mid 2000s and using
newer 2010-ish software, but still DB-9 serial port only) for a few
hours each, so it's tested but nearly unused.
The driver CD is included, I don't know how well any of these really
work (other than the XP I used myself), but looking at the directory
folders it claims to have drivers for:
    Windows 98
    Windows NT 4.0
    Windows 2000
    Windows ME
    Windows XP
    Windows Vista
    Linux
Please check the photos and make sure it is right for you. No
    returns/refunds.
Please see my other listings for SCSI items. I presently have more SCSI
items listed than anyone who has ever been on eBay, and I haven't even
done 10% of my listings yet...
