    This listing is for an unusual rare antique seafood serving set from Haviland Limoges, featuring a hand-painted shellfish motif. The painting is stunning and it's a really beautiful set, but we're not quite sure what the pieces are used for. The underwater scene shows a variety of shellfish; but we've never seen oysters served in bowls like this before. The individual serving bowls are quite small (they're actually berry/dessert bowls). We've theorized that perhaps this was used for mussels?
    All these dishes are in very good used condition, with no ch
    ips, cracks or crazing. Expect to see some wear to the gold trim on some of the pieces.
