COCA-COLA BLAK Mechanical Pen - Rare 2006 Promotional Item from Failed BrandExcellent Condition, as pictured
Coca-Cola Blak
(stylized as
Coca-Cola BlāK
) was a coffee-flavored soft drink introduced by Coca-Cola in 2006 and discontinued in 2008. The mid-calorie drink was introduced first in France and subsequently in other markets, including Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania.
Coca-Cola Blak
launched in the United States
on April 3, and in Canada on August 29, 2006. In August 2007, trade magazine Beverage Digest noted that Coca-Cola would discontinue the drink within the United States.
This item is a rare advertising relic from that failed attempt by Coca-Cola. This superior quality heavyweight pen was given out to vendors as a marketing piece.
The Coca-Cola Blak logo is prominently displayed on the top half of the pen next to the clip. In order to write, simply twist the top of the pen to reveal the writing tip. The pen has been tested and does write in black ink.
This is a cool advertising item that only a select few Coca-Cola lovers can have in their collection!
