For your consideration is this delightfully Art Deco pottery bowl in a chrome holder. The metal holder has a moving handle which you can fold down if desired. When fully upright, the piece stands 5" high. The bowl is 4" in diameter.
The Tulip pattern is quintessential Art Deco. There are tulips in shades of red, orange, lavender, and blue. The leaves are green and there are 4 abstract black shapes among the flowers. There is a hand painted brown line around the verge. There are flakes in the glaze on this brown line here and there.
An interesting detail in the bowl are the 4 ridges you can see and feel inside the bowl but not on the outside.
The bowl is free of chips and cracks but does have overall fine crazing of the glaze. The glaze, however, retains its nice shine.
The chrome holder is very detailed and retains its shine. The handle shows a little wear, however.
The metal rim has a cutout design along with engraved ivy leaves. There are flowers engraved on the handle.
If you collect all things Art Deco, this may be for you.
